Darby Nelson taught biology and environmental science at Anoka-Ramsey Community College for 35 years and served three terms as a Minnesota state legislator. He has now written For Love of Lakes, which has recently been nominated for a Minnesota Book Award. Conservation Minnesota played a lead role in passing the Clean Water, Land and Legacy Amendment approved by voters in 2008. Now we have taken on the challenge of making sure the money is spent wisely and the public is kept informed. We’re helping protect the funds from being diverted for inappropriate projects like a new Vikings stadium and creating partnerships to celebrate the Legacy. Continue reading
