Conservation Minnesota helps build and supports diverse coalitions who are working to protect our lakes, rivers, land and air. Bringing people of different backgrounds and viewpoints together to pursue common goals is a cornerstone of our work.

The following sites have specific information on a variety of conservation issues.  The state websites are excellent sources of information on permits, hunting, licenses, recycling, hazardous waste, and more.

The Minnesota Environmental Partnership (MEP) is an umbrella organization for over 90 conservation groups within the state.  Conservation Minnesota works with MEP to provide strategic resources for member organizations, including an email action network and collaborations using joint membership lists.  Partners include: Audubon Minnesota, 1000 Friends of Minnesota, Friends of the Mississippi River, and the Sierra Club.

The Clean Water Legacy Coalition
The Clean Water Legacy Coalition is a historic partnership of business, municipal, farming and conservation interests. Its purpose is to pass legislation and funding necessary to clean up Minnesota’s polluted lakes and rivers.  Partners include: the Farm Bureau, the League of Minnesota Cities, the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce, and Clean Water Action.

The Rally for Ducks, Wetlands, and Clean Water
The Duck Rally is a coalition of hunting, angling and conservation groups who recognize that our Minnesota traditions depend on clean lakes, healthy wetlands and abundant wildlife habitat.  This group has brought thousands of Minnesotans to rally at the capitol for increased funding for conservation and stronger citizen input on setting priorities.  Partners include:  Ducks Unlimited, The Isaak Walton League, The Nature Conservancy, Pheasants Forever, and Minnesota Center for Environmental Advocacy.

This coalition works to educate communities on the economic and environmental benefits of preserving natural areas in communities. Partners include: The Trust for Public Land, Minnesota Conservation Federation, the Department of Natural Resources, and a host of local groups.
