08/12/2010 - A string of humid 90 degree days, record-setting sudden downpours, tornado outbreaks — what does it mean for our climate here in Minnesota?  Not much, says meteorologist Paul Douglas.  It’s what’s going on worldwide that deserves our attention.  We asked him this week to give us his thoughts on the weather — and separately, climate change. Here are his answers to our questions:

Looking around at this summer’s Northern Hemisphere heat and huge storm events, can we draw any conclusions about the reality of climate change?  Or is that like saying a Minnesota snowstorm in December and bitter cold snap in January disproves it?

05/27/2010 - Brendan O'Rourke grew up camping.  He has fond memories of loading up the car, traveling long highways, and camping in all the states with his brothers, sisters, and parents.  His wife, Brook, spent several summers camping with a group of families in Nisswa when she was younger.  She remembers the camaraderie and constant activity of those vacations.  Both of them want to share these memories with their children.
