Fall 2015 Newsletter: The Right Partner

Audubon-FeatureConservation Minnesota’s staff has been growing! We hope you’ve had a chance to meet your local community coordinator. What you may not know is that these coordinators also represent Audubon Minnesota.

About a year ago, we connected with Audubon Minnesota and learned that our members and organizations want the same thing – more community engagement. This reason, along with many others, is why our two organizations formed a partnership that is focused on community outreach and building local relationships.  Both organizations have similar goals and priorities when it comes to land, water, clean energy, the Great Outdoors and our way of life here in Minnesota.

Audubon Minnesota and Conservation Minnesota’s commitment to improving our clean water, healthy habitats and clean air led us to explore how we could better utilize our resources to sustain a large-scale, statewide presence. This approach is proving effective to engage not only our members but also thousands of other Minnesotans who share our values and want to be part of taking care of our natural resources.

If you happen to be a member of both organizations please let us know! This is one of the many exciting things happening with Conservation Minnesota this year. Maybe it’s our Midwest sensibility, but sharing work and cutting costs seems like a good thing to us and we hope you feel the same way.
