Tom is a business and legal consultant. He was formerly a partner with the litigation law firm of Zelle Hofmann Voelbel & Mason LLP where Tom’s legal and business background enabled him to provide clients with litigation and general business advice on a broad range of complex commercial issues. Before practicing law, Tom worked in account management for the Minneapolis office of the advertising and marketing company now known as BBDO Worldwide. Tom received a BA in history from Williams College; a MBA in finance from the University of Chicago; and a JD from William Mitchell College of Law.
Tom’s volunteerism for Conservation Minnesota ranges from providing strategic planning and legal analysis to “dropping literature.” Tom also provides volunteer representation on behalf of the Children’s Law Center of Minnesota and for others who are unable to hire an attorney. Tom is on the board of the South St. Paul Educational Foundation, Minnesota Skating Scholarship Foundation, and RugbyDayMinnesota, and is active in other community organizations.
Tom lives in Minneapolis with his wife, Pat St. Peter, and their daughter, Claire. Tom and his family greatly enjoy being active, both indoors and out, and especially outdoors at their small cottage on the bank of the St. Croix River just outside of Marine on St. Croix.
