Fall Buckthorn Haul – Lebanon Hills Regional Park
October 14 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am
Team-up to help haul and remove pre-cut piles of invasive buckthorn out of Lebanon Hills Regional Park. Buckthorn is a nasty invasive species that competes with local vegetation.
Meet near Lebanon Hills Regional Park at 4195 120th St West, Rosemount Saturday, October 7th and Saturday, October 14th from 9:00 – 11:00 am. Attend the buckthorn haul that works best for you or attend both! There is limited space for this volunteer opportunity. If you would like to join us, please contact us via phone or email to RSVP. 612-767-1572 firstname.lastname@example.org
Please bring long sleeve clothing and wear items that you don’t mind getting dirty or having ripped. If you have a favorite pair of work gloves, feel free to bring them. Otherwise, Dakota County Parks staff will have gloves available for you to use. Other suggested items for you to bring include water, bug spray, sun block, and sturdy shoes. It’s important that you’re able to attend the whole event, walk on uneven terrain, get dirty, and carry 5-25 lbs.
