A "yes" vote allows the MPCA to implement Clean Cars Minnesota Rulemaking. If enacted, the MPCA’s would maintain their ability to regulate vehicle emissions to ensure the availability of low- and zero-emissions vehicles.
A "yes" vote would have included improved greenhouse gas reduction goals in SF 972 so that Minnesota's economy wide emissions are net zero by the year 2050.
A "yes" vote passes the SF 972 Energy & Commerce Omnibus Bill through the Minnesota State Senate. Once passed, the bill will be reviewed against the House version of the omnibus bill and debated through a Conference Committee, from which compromise legislation will be produced.
