HF 6  is the commerce and energy policy and finance budget legislation for the 2021–2022 biennium.

This bipartisan, compromise bill provides policy changes to guide energy investment and regulation while providing funding for energy-related agencies and programs. This legislation includes the Natural Gas Innovation Act, the Buy Clean materials study, and the Energy Transition Office. These provisions take steps toward securing Minnesota’s transition to clean energy by reducing home heating emissions, evaluating the environmental impact of supply chains, and guiding local communities through the impacts and opportunities of energy progress.
