About this Legislation
Chief Author

SF2904 is the omnibus bill for Minnesota’s environment and natural resources policy that supports the DNR, BWSR, and other state agencies to help better protect Minnesota’s environment and preserve access to outdoor opportunities. This year’s bill contains updates around electronic licensing systems for fishing and hunting licenses, changes to native rough fish management, improvements to soil and water conservation management, and native prairie conservation.

The House and Senate passed the bill and it was signed into law by the Governor on April 26.

What a yes means

A “Yes” vote means adopting these policy changes to allow DNR to better protect and preserve Minnesota’s water, land, and natural resources for present and future generations.

What a no would have meant

A “No” vote means the environment omnibus policy bill is not adopted, and proposed changes to protect Minnesota’s land, water, and wildlife, as well as increase outdoor access, are not implemented.
