HF 669 (Lee, F.) is the Capital Investment Bill, also called Bonding. This bill includes $2.6 billion for local projects across Minnesota.

HF 669 provides over $233 million for the Department of Natural Resources, funding asset preservation, building betterment, forest nursery improvements, flood hazard mitigation, parks and trails development, tree planting and reforestation efforts, and public land acquisition. The bill also provides over $380 million to the Public Facilities Authority, funding the Water Infrastructure Funding Program, matching federal funds for the Clean Water Revolving Fund, the Point Source Implementation Grant Program, and various local water infrastructure projects.

Status

The bill passed the House and Senate and was signed into law by Governor Walz.

What a yes means

A "yes" vote passes HF 669 and over $600 million in bonding is approved for natural resources and water infrastructure projects across Minnesota.  

What a no would have meant

A "no" vote does not pass HF 669 and funding for natural resources and water infrastructure projects is not approved.
